Victoria Ahrens

Victoria Ahrens (UK/Argentina) is an artist, curator and MA Photography Course Leader at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. She completed her PhD in Photographic practice and theory at Birkbeck, University of London in 2017. Her expanded photography explores historic and experimental processes, and multimedia installation practices. Addressing permanence and impermanence, her work reflects on disappearing landscapes, Deep Time, Extractivism and ecofeminism in the Anthropocene. Ahrens has exhibited internationally and won the 2013 Celeste Photography Prize, Clifford Chance Purchase Prize and Printmaker’s Council Award. In 2022 she was a finalist in the Glover Rayner Sustainable Photography Prize.
