Miguelo Aguilar

Spain

A visual artist whose photographic practice emerges from a multidisciplinary background and a sustained curiosity for learning, experimentation, and discovery. He began working with analogue photography in the 1980s and, after years of personal exploration, developed exhibition projects focused on abandoned spaces, ruins, and transforming architectures. His practice was consolidated through advanced training in author-driven photography and participation in workshops and collaborative projects within educational and artistic contexts. With an academic background in physics, his approach to image-making incorporates an analytical perspective that engages with material and experimental processes. He currently works exclusively with analogue photography, using manipulated film and non-conventional techniques to explore the physical limits of the image and to move beyond traditional modes of photographic representation.
