Daphne Carlos
Perú
Photographer, visual artist, educator and cultural manager. Founder and director of Fuera de Foco, a photography school with over 13 years of experience dedicated to visual training and experimentation. Her practice explores the body as a territory of memory, trace and identity through processes that integrate photography, video art and performance.
Her work extends into cultural management, organizing events and experiences around photography and the visual arts. As an educator, she develops workshops that inspire experimentation and personal exploration. She has participated in group exhibitions in Lima, Chile and Argentina, and has presented the performance "Un cuerpo un ser" in different countries across Latin America and Europe.
She is the recipient of a scholarship for the PHotoESPAÑA Master’s program (2025–2026). She has participated in the Latin American Master in Contemporary Photography Mal de Foco (2015) and holds a Diploma in Anthropology and Photography. She graduated from Centro de la Imagen and from Universidad San Martín de Porres with a degree in Communication Sciences.
